Little Freddie King

Hello Friends,Part of the idea behind Beanlandia is to help build a stronger safety-net. This is important in a city like New Orleans. On occasion, we "activate" the safety-net . . .

With that said, Blues Legend Little Freddie King is one of the most special people in our city. Unfortunately, on Sept. 28thFreddie was flipped off his EV bike and suffered some serious injuries – his spine, head, and hands. Thankfully, he has received medical care and has finished extensive rehab therapy. Freddie is ready to go home, but will need in-home assistance for a while.

And his main source of income, as a working musician, will be unavailable since the recovery process is long and he has to build up his strength before he can play his guitar again. If you have never seen Little Freddie King perform, check out the video we made a few years ago during COVID – you’ll see he is an absolute treasure of a musician and I hope you’ll consider donating to this effort. The funds we raise will help pay medical bills, health care assistance, equipment, house utilities and incidental needs.. Help Freddie get through!
